The Chal-Charkha Women’s Training and Employment Center embodies the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, as espoused by Aacharya Guruvar Shri Vidyasagar Ji Mahamuniraj. This center serves as a unique amalgamation of artistic skills, Bharatiya culture, and Self-reliance.
Through the provision of training in Handloom and Handicrafts, women are empowered with new avenues of employment, fostering the foundation for a healthy, secure, and non violent life.
Here, Aspirations are nurtured, and Sensitivities are cherished, enabling women to pursue their unfulfilled dreams. Handloom and Handicrafts represent the commencement of peace amidst the chaos of material abundance, bridging the divide between individuals and fostering harmony with the world.
The aim of Chal-Charkha is to make women self-reliant, provide means of environment friendly employment and produce healthy products made on handloom and handicrafts.
To preserve, promote, and advance Bharat’s traditional heritage and endangered handicrafts, the Chal-Charkha Centre offers training in a diverse range of crafts, including Aari-zardozi, macrame, wooden craft, jute craft, cow-dung craft, pottery, and more.
Blessed by Aacharya Shri 108 Vidyasagarji Maharaj, the inception of the Chal-Charkha marked a significant milestone on May 9, 2016, in Chandragiri and Jabalpur. Since that day, Chal-Charkha has embarked on a journey of progress and unwavering dedication through new efforts.
Every woman employed at the Chal-Charkha Women’s Training Center has committed to a pledge of vegetarianism and virtuous living. Handloom garments transcend mere threads; they embody the woven dreams of women.
