a discipline of mastering the mind and senses, and a goal of self-exploration,
the Chal-Charkha Women’s Training and Employment Center is inspired by the profound philosophy of the great
Jain Digambara Acharya 108 Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj.
Chal-Charkha Women’s Training Centers are staffed by trained and dedicated celibate sisters, who are skilled in Bhartiya Arts. They relentlessly provide training and employment opportunities to women in handloom and handicrafts.
At the Chal-Charakha women training & Employment Center, thousands of rural and tribal women receive short-term training in traditional arts such as handloom weaving, Zardosi embroidery, hand embroidery, sewing, and more. These women are dedicated to produce eco-friendly and healthy products.
Burdened by providing education, food, and basic needs for my children without their father’s support, seemed like an insurmountable challenge. However, handloom weaving breathed new life into our existence, offering a ray of hope and direction. Today, I proudly owe the responsibilities of caring for both my children and my parents. I stand self-reliance and independence. I am grateful for the transformative power of handloom in my life.

As a resident of Pindrukhi, Dindori, the frequent occurrence of excessive rain in our village often damages our crops, leading to considerable challenges in our daily lives. However, with the 4. 5. 6. 7. 1. support of handloom weaving, I now earn Rs 300-350 per day. This newfound source of income has significantly eased the burdens of our lives. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Gurudev for his blessings and guidance.
